My Computer Science Experiences 2.0: HTML
When Sir Tom came back, another lesson was introduced- HTML. HTML stands for Hyper Text Markup Link. It is the standard markup language used to create webpages. We spent a lot of our sessions discussing about that. Scenarios are the same. Sir Tom will start discussing, then he'll perform demonstrations and we'll have activities. The lesson was confusing but I was glad I understood it with the help of the demos and practices. However, I felt horrible when I was not able to finish the second activity. I swear I was not lazy during the weekend before the submission of that particular activity. It's just that things weren't going with me.
My Computer Science Experiences 2.0: Netiquette
Etiquette is a polite behavior in society.
So, Internet + Etiquette = Netiquette
Netiquette is a set of rules in the internet. In this lesson, I've learned more about behaving properly online and some of the terms used in calling a person's behavior in the internet.
We had a quiz about this. I got a score of 9.

My Computer Science Experiences 2.0: Activity
Sir Tom is out but he left us something to do- an activity that we must create another blog. From the topics that he had given, I chose Artificial Intelligence. This topic really intrigued me since the day that I have watched a video of Watson.

My Computer Science Experiences 2.0: Web Searching Tips & Tricks
I've learned a lot about the web searching tips. Here are the tips that I am now applying in the internet that I didn't know, before:
- "Don't worry about the cases." Before, I always made sure that I typed the correct capitalization of the words. Why do you think I'll not? Eh there is a part of tests which says "Wrong capitalization, wrong." Then here comes the passwords that are case-sensitive.
- "Search by file type" By putting a "filetype: and the three-letter file abbreviation", searching a specific type of file will be less hassle.
- "Get definitions" I never knew getting definitions will be easier by putting a "definition:" before the word I want to be defined.
- "Exclude a word or site" Adding a dash (-) is very useful to avoid confusion with synonymous words and to exclude sites that you don't want.
My Computer Science Experiences 2.0: Protocols and DNS
I will not discuss what Protocols and DNS are anymore because I had a hard time understanding these. But to give you an introduction, protocol, as what Sir Tom's definition is, is a set of rules that governs the communications between computers on a network. And DNS, as defined again by Sir Tom, which stands for Domain Name System is a hierarchical distributed naming system.
We had a quiz about this last September 4 and I'm happy about getting 9 out of ten items.

My Computer Science Experiences 2.0: A Brand New Start
Hi Guys! It's been a while since I've last posted about my experiences in Computer Science.
Here is an introduction to my 2nd Quarter:
A lot of things have changed since the days of the 1st Periodical Exam ended. The 2nd Quarter is very different from the 1st. It is more stressful. Lessons have become more harder and confusing. And this is also the time wherein I've proven that deadlines are really deadly. But these things didn't stop me from studying harder. Well, who will not be 'eager' if he/she gets a GWA of 1.53 when he/she was expecting a 2?
I'm not being boastful but for me, the 2nd Quarter lessons are easier than the 1st. The only difficulty is that activities, quizzes, tests, projects, etc. are given at the same time. So I have to deal with the deadlines. Good thing I seldom cram (^.^)v. And Luckily, I am able to survive the most stressful quarter since the day I entered school.
2nd Quarter is almost close to the end. Now, let me tell you my Computer Science experiences 2.0, a brand new start almost two months ago.
P.S.: You might notice that my new posts are different from the previous ones. It is because I've decided to stop my "kalokohans" and be more serious.
